The Kalimba is an African musical instrument consisting of a wooden board (often fitted with a resonator) with attached staggered metal tines, played by holding the instrument in both hands and plucking the tines with the thumbs. It can be a solo instrument or an accompaniment for singers, musicians and dancers. The word Kalimba means little music. It is well suited for Western music and is easy for the performer to play a harmony using both thumbs. Kit includes: Kalimba, guide, tuning wrench, and Kalimba Songbook
